Speed Up Windows Startup

Speed up and manage system startup by preventing the automatic loading of any unwanted applications from loading.

After you turn on your computer, if you're inclined to do something else while waiting for Windows, chances are a number of programs start automatically with the system without requesting confirmation. The more applications that are loaded automatically, the slower your system will be.

Put an end to wasted system performance. To review and disable these programs, go to the Start menu, Run, and type "msconfig" (no quotes.) In the Startup tab, deselect the check box of each undesired application to prevent from loading automatically at startup. Leave on virus scan, turn off the instant messenger program you might not want to use right away.

Without needless memory use running wild at the start, your PC will load faster.
